Fic in a Box 2025 Letter

dryadfionaFirst of all, thank you! You're making something for me, and on that merit alone, I'll cherish it. The good news is, I like a whole heck of a lot, so don't feel obligated to hit a lot of or even any of the beats in my general or fandom-specific likes! As long as you're avoiding my DNWs, I'm happy.
My fandoms for this exchange are Dimension 20, Dragon Age, and Baldur's Gate. I have this letter sorted by fandom and pairing/WB, then by medium, but if you want to mix-and-match one idea to another pairing or another fandom or across mediums, go for it. If you want to add a character from one relationship tag into another, go for it! I'm a multishipper and easily pleased.
I like canon compliance and canon divergence and AUs that have nothing to do with canon. I like a healthy dynamic where everyone does their best to communicate and meet in the middle and I like a dynamic where everyone involved shouldn't be in the same plane of existence as the other. I like fluff and angst and smut and plot and whatever intersection of those things your heart desires. If you can't tell, I like a lot and am generally easy to please! If you have fun writing it, I will almost certainly have fun reading it.
With any and all pairings, you can ship in whatever conjunction you want, including polyamory for characters all nominated with each other (or even just not in pairings in my DNWs). As long as you're not bashing any character in a relationship tag, I'm totally set :)
Pairing likes/prompts are mostly writing-focused, but that's just because I'm a writer and it's what my mind jumps to. Still VERY open for alternate mediums!
Dimension 20
If you couldn't tell from the nominated pairings, I'm a Kristen femslash enjoyer. I worked on Hey, Girlie! Game and had such a blast that all these pairings entered my permanent exchange favorites, but Tracker was my main route and thus is beloved to me. That said, when I say WB: Any I am absolutely open to other campaigns! Your take on any of the pairings can also be entirely unrelated to HGG and I'll still love it; I wouldn't nominate it if I didn't love normal canonverse them, too :)
Trackerbees - Kristen Applebees/Tracker O'shaughnessey
The messiest relationship of all time. The gay awakening to first loves to breaking up because one's moving away to contentious exes to getting back together again is all SO fun. Let them be sweet, let them be sad, let them be a little toxic maybe? Go nuts. I'm still opting out of full-on smut for this pairing, but they're also canonically kinky and do sex magic so, like, let them explore that if you want.
Kink negotiations without actual on-page sex -- especially funny if they're both kind of bad at negotiating and even figuring out what they want. Canon divergence. Both of them going to the same college. Halloween, or whatever Spyre's equivalent to it is. First "I love you"s.
3C - Kristen Applebees/Princess Naradriel of Fallinel/Tracker O'shaughnessey
I adore these three. I'm really partial to Kristen and Nara giving Tracker a chance to be silly and not just being in a sort of caretaker/guide role, but also absolutely fine with canon-typical messy relationship none of them are really ready for. This can be a happy throuple or mutual infidelity or whatever the hell your heart desires for these three.
Going on a date to the movies, which of course Nara's never done before. Meeting very far post-canon; maybe two of them are married and the third still has feelings? Fluffy vacation fic. Kristen sticking around after the Yulenear for some reason and seeing Tracker and Nara in their element (or very much NOT in their element) at Wolfsong. Getting together and all the mess that implies.
Frostbees - Kristen Applebees/Lucy Frostblade
Lucy my absolute beloved. I think there's so much room to explore here, clerics who died, one cleric who can't help but doubt so much she resurrected a god about it and another whose faith in her god was unwavering, so different but so similar at the same time. Let Lucy be mad, let Kristen wish she could have done more, let them be sweet or let them be disastrously codependent. I'll be happy with anything here.
Lost in the woods Lucy died in, or in the forest of Kristen's afterlife. Idiots to lovers. The rough period of getting to be friends when their friend groups hated and tried to kill each other, and then uh oh feelings get caught. Admitting out loud that they care about each other for the first time. A world where Lucy was resurrected alongside the other Rat Grinders and Kristen makes Lucy so, so angry.
Frostkettlebees - Kristen Applebees/Kipperlilly Copperkettle/Lucy Frostblade
Kipperlilly my fucking beloved. I love these three so much and they have the potential to be SO bad or SO good for each other. I will adore either option!
Getting to know each other's families after being together for awhile, with extra bonus points for Kipperlilly and Lucy realizing just how bad Kristen's family is. Childhood friends. Kristen walking in on Kipperlilly crying in the bathroom about Lucy's death, doing her best to comfort her even though they really can't stand each other. Multiclassing or reclassing (either from the start as an AU or as a divergence/post-canon thing). One of them alone on a holiday and wishing the other two were there.
Aydabees - Ayda Aguefort/Kristen Applebees
You ever get so invested in the crackiest portion of an OT3 that you end up seeking it out over the other two legs of the triangle? No, just me? Anyway, I think these two are so fun and SO funny. The potential for miscommunication is sky-high and I am opting into that for fluff or angst or humor or anything.
Kristen takes Ayda to a rodeo; Ayda takes notes. Fluffy morning cuddles; maybe Kristen has to take a potion of fire resistance first thing in the morning? Ayda's strong enough to pick Kristen up, and she enjoys that more than she's willing to admit. Coworker AU but still set in Spyre. Waiting together in the rain for something.
Narabees - Kristen Applebees/Princess Naradriel of Fallinel
Looking for attempts at mutual understanding here, of any degree of success. That wish for understanding can also come from a place of abject jealousy and loathing if you want! Nara doesn't have a ton to go off of in canon, so I'd love to see a deep dive into your take on her.
Hiding from an enemy in a small enclosed space, and no, they haven't talked about the mutual ex thing yet. Celebrity/fan AU. Meeting again post-canon. Magically induced memory loss. Stuck on a ski lift together, or some other form of forced proximity.
Kipperbees - Kristen Applebees/Kipperlilly Copperkettle
Enough of the sweet, fluffy femslash. These two can be SO toxic. I would love to see it. (Jokes aside, also very happy with sweet fluff for these two as well.) I'm most interested in seeing a genuinely remorseful Kristen and a genuinely furious Kipperlilly even after the ragestar's removed and how they work past that (if at all).
Forced to work together on something and both of them fucking hate it. Neither of them like each other, but that doesn't mean they don't find each other hot. Roommates (would LOVE this as college roommates post-canon, and they're both stuck with each other because uhhh magically binding lease with the dorm or something). Porter wins AU. Nightmares.
Figaydabees - Ayda Aguefort/Kristen Applebees/Figueroth Faeth
My babies...Fig and Ayda always make me cry because they're so sweet, and adding Kristen to the mix is just a fun, delightful burst of chaos that has potential for humor or fluff or angst. I love it.
Fig writing songs for her girlfriends, and them watching her perform them for the first time. Kristen and Ayda go to the same college post-canon; mega-famous archdevil rock star Fig just hangs out with them and causes a stir. Friends to lovers Fig and Kristen except oops, Fig's already dating Ayda, and oops, Ayda already knows. One of them dies; the other two have absolutely horrible survivor's guilt (bonus points if resurrection is impossible for some reason, maybe because Ayda's already reincarnated?). Fig admiring Kristen and Ayda's muscles.
Figbees - Kristen Applebees/Figueroth Faeth
Friends to lovers! Two wildly different flavors of commitment issues! President and security detail! Openly bisexual and only barely unpacking lesbianism! Archdevil and saint! Sooo many angles to explore with these two and I am obsessed with all of them.
Fandom/nerd AU. Kristen gets flustered when Fig has handcuffs, but no, seriously, where did she get those? Pranks. Kristen trying and failing to help Fig with her music. Soulmate AU, and they're not soulmates.
Beesbees - Kristen Applebees/Gertie Bladeshield
I think Gertie should have been allowed to kill Kristen for the breaking up as soon as Tracker moves back home thing. I also think Kristen should find it totally ridiculous that Gertie was so into her after, like, one makeout. Let them be messy. Let them not resolve their issues. Let them still be making out through it all!
Kristen accidentally asks Gertie out after dumping her, whether through a wrong number text or bad phrasing. Gertie admitting she should have known it wouldn't last because no one ever sticks around for her, and that absolutely gutting Kristen. Revenge. Going to the same college together in Spyre (I know I keep putting it here but it's just really fun for Kristen tbh). Looking back at pictures from the good times, and there's a lot of them considering how brief those good times were.

Okay, here's the "go nuts and do whatever you want" Figayda - Ayda Aguefort/Figueroth Faeth
My loves!! For all that I've nominated Kristen femslash, these two are super dear to me. I tend to really enjoy canon's take on them, but feel free to go into full AUs or different setups for their dynamic or even the breakup we will not be seeing in canon.
Ayda's dating one of Fig's friends, and that's a problem, because Fig is pretty much in love with her. Fig is cursed and Ayda works on breaking that curse. Modern AU where Fig's a grunge punk whose band isn't taking off and Ayda's studying science so high-level Fig isn't even quite sure what it is. Ayda meets Fig in every lifetime, whether because of reincarnation or because archdevils are immortal and Fig waits for her. Even when it looks like all is lost, Fig believes in Ayda and Ayda believes in Fig.
Dragon Age
My prompts are obviously Bellara-heavy, but don't feel like you have to stick to Veilguard's tone. Most of what I want to see out of Veilguard fanfic/fanart/fanwhatever you enjoy making is if it was handled in ways more similar to the earlier games. So if you don't really care for VG but we got matched on WB: Any, please feel free to dive into something from Origins or 2 or Inquisition or even the novels! I'll love that too.
Nevellara - Neve Gallus/Bellara Lutare
What was that "sisters" thing about at the end of the game? That simply was not my read of them at all. I'd love to see some exploration of magic here, or even clashing from implicit assumptions from growing up in Tevinter that butts up against Dalish-and-proud Bellara, especially if the elven gods being real and also tyrannical play into it somehow. Also happy with sweet, canon-typical fluff!
Neve enjoys flustering Bellara and isn't ready to have the tables turned. Hardened Neve trying to deny her feelings so she can't get hurt again. Everyone thinks they're dating but each other. Sharing a bed. One dies and haunts the other.
Bellarook - Bellara Lutare/Rook
I'm really endeared by what could have been here. I also am very open to OC-centric pieces, so if your OC wildly varies from "canon" rook, go nuts! I especially have a huge soft spot for evil/traitor Rooks but that's absolutely not mandatory.
Blighted Bellara is terrifying but Rook can't deny a certain thrill at her, either. Celebrity AU in a modern Thedas. Listening to Dalish music one night at the Veil Jumper camp and unpacking just how much of it has to do with the Creators that they're actively fighting. Nerding out over how the ancient artifacts they find work. Bellara viciously attacking Solas for what he did to Rook.
Bellavrin - Davrin/Bellara Lutare
Actually crazy these two barely talked about their literal gods being their enemies. Was there, like, one banter? What the hell? Let them unpack it, let them deal with what it means to be Dalish in a world where that's true, let them kiss about it, even.
One of them asking the other to hold them; they of course oblige. Davrin fighting blighted Bellara and it makes him sick, knowing there's no real cure. Bellara mourning Davrin after he falls; Davrin (or a spirit who thinks they're Davrin) watches from the Fade, unable to comfort her. The two of them going on a mission without Rook. A "this could be our last kiss" kiss.
Solo: Bellara Lutare
My forever girl. I wish so badly canon had let her have some bite to her, and also that the game she came from had some in general. Let her be angry in her grief more than once. Let her have understandable reservations about Tevinter mages and assassin abominations, let her have doubts her gods are as bad as they seem (or break down a bit when they are), let her threaten to slit throats!
Bellara having to be scolded away from dangerous artifacts before Cyrian; Bellara handling them very differently after. Bellara, alone and wounded on a battlefield, scrounging out the last dregs of her magic to try and heal herself. Omegaverse, but Bellara really doesn't have type for all that relationship drama, she's busy trying to figure out this Nadas Dirthalen. The gods win AU; Bellara lives on and resists in what small ways she can. Watching a sunrise.
Irelin/Bellara Lutare
Exes...yes. The codex letter about their relationship doesn't give us a ton to work with, so go in whatever direction you want with them! Is one of them still harboring feelings? Was the breakup less than amicable? Did one of them think it meant more than the other did, or did one of them THINK the other one thought it meant more than the other--you get it. Down for anything here!
Soulmate AU. Tending to the camp's halla together. Practicing their magic together, maybe sparring. Irelin hears from the Veilguard that Bellara is fallen/lost/hurt/whatever flavor of angst you're feeling. Meeting under awful circumstances.
Bellucanis - Lucanis Dellamorte/Bellara Lutare
I have a huge soft spot for these two separately, thought of them together once, and it's been over ever since. I think neither of them quite know what to do with each other at first but could get really close. Both of them know what it is to grieve the loss of family and then learn it's something else, both of them cook so they're not subjected to the rest of the Veilguard's attempts, both of them are fierce fighters who would trust each other with their lives.
Having sex; it's Lucanis' first time (either in awhile or in general) and very much not Bellara's. Lucanis showing Bellara around Treviso. A desperate kiss. Being each other's confidants. Lucanis not liking to be touched after the Ossuary. Meeting in the Ossuary in circumstances other than a breakout.
Neve Gallus & Bellara Lutare
Seconding all the stuff I said for them as a romantic pairing, but platonic! I'll enjoy both.
One supporting the other at their wedding. Communicating via notes left around the Lighthouse. Learning to work together in the early days. Bellara breaking through Neve's walls enough that Neve will easily admit how much she values their friendship. The gods win; Neve & Bellara somehow survive and decide to keep fighting.
Bellario - Illario Dellamorte/Bellara Lutare
Honestly, I saw this was a common tag and I'm just intrigued by it. How do you think these two could work? Whatever your mind jumped to, I wanna see it!
Bellara helping supervise a magic ritual with the Crows post-canon and not trusting forgiven Illario one bit. A situationship that neither of them are equipped for. Illario kidnapping Bellara as leverage; it's the worst mistake he's ever made. Bellara being kind of charmed by the drama of Crow politics even as she thinks a lot of it's stupid. Fingertips brushing.
Bellara Lutare & Rook
My kingdom for Veil Jumper Rook and Bellara being friends pre-canon. My kingdom also for any friendship or even enemy-ship with Bellara and your OC; explore whatever you want!
Sharing the details of their sad/tragic/traumatic backstories over too much wine. Bellara accepting Rook won't be coming back after the "bad" ending. Modern Thedas AU. Commiserating over their love lives. Long distance friendship post-canon.
Bellara Lutare/Emmrich Volkarin
I caught kind of a vibe with them in the scene where you first meet him with Bellara, and honestly, I still think it'd be fun. They're both very clever and very driven and coming from very different circumstances that they want to explore with each other. I also think the professor/student angle of it all is hot, especially because he'd be a lot more torn about that than she would.
Healing each other's wounds. A moment of quiet nonsexual intimacy that shifts into them unable to keep their hands off each other. Hurt/comfort. Cyberpunk AU (either the genre or the franchise). Mourn Watcher Bellara AU.
WB: Any
Go nuts. I love this setting. The nicher detail you want to explore, the better. The more passionate you feel about an aspect of the setting not making sense, the more I want to read about you tearing that to shreds and explaining what would work better. I will love it. I am NOT picky with Thedas worldbuilding.
Baldur's Gate
My forever girl. BG3 immediately skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list before I'd even played 3 hours of the game and has not shown any signs of dropping down to a regular interest again. I ship most everyone with most everyone, I like exploring any and all of the endings, and I'm as thrilled with angst as I am with fluff as I am with plotless smut as I am with action/adventure as I am with plotty casefic where they don't have time to kiss because the Horrors are there as I am with a canon retelling. Do whatever you want. Genuinely, truly, whatever you want.
I love reading about original Tavs and Durges, so if you have an OC you want to yell about, go for it!
Raphtav - Raphael/Tav
I didn't think I would like these two as much as I did, and then I played House of Hope, and now this man will NOT leave my or my OC's head. My favorite flavor of Raphael finds a balance between him being suave/in control and pathetic/desperate, but if you feel passionately about either end of that scale, go for it! I also tend to prefer a Tav who's into him (even if they shouldn't be) than one who has to be tempted into it, but again, just a minor preference! That said, I'm looking for canon Raphael in all his atrocities; soft, indulgent Raphael is fine but he should always at least be kind of manipulative about it.
Raphael's obsession with Tav only gets worse over time, whether they sign the contract or not. Established situationship. A dance at a fancy ball/event/gala where Tav can't make a scene by denying a polite request for one, and Raphael knows that. Raphael banishes the rest of the party from House of Hope when he catches them, leaving Tav alone with no way out but him. Dinner together after Tav brings Raphael the Crown, or upon first visit to the House of Hope.
Tavstarion - Astarion/Tav
The guy I got the game for! I love him to death. I strongly prefer spawn Astarion but I'm not anti-ascendant Astarion if that's the vibe you're going for. I really, really love Astarion paired with an evil Tav who gets better along with him or an uncompromisingly good Tav who drags him kicking and screaming into a redemption arc, but if your Tav is different, go nuts!
Modern Toril AU. Time passes; Astarion is immortal, Tav is not. Killing Cazador. A Tav with a strong moral code (a paladin, maybe?) who's very disgruntled by how charmed they are by Astarion's antics. The logistics of managing seven thousand vampire spawn unleashed upon the Underdark together.
Astarion/Karlach/Tav
Fuck what da game said, I think these three should all kiss. The dialogues from them when you're dating them both are SO crunchy to me. This can be a throuple or a messy V or even straight up infidelity, whatever you and your Tav are vibing with!
Karlach disgruntled by both the hot people she's seeing having their noses stuck in a book all the time (Astarion with the Necromancy of Thay, your Tav with whatever book fits them). Exploring Baldur's Gate for the first time in years, or Astarion and Karlach showing a non-Baldurian Tav their haunts. Kisses good night and other sappy things. Modern AU game night, and good gods, Karlach's competitive and Astarion's blatantly cheating and Tav is laughing too hard to mediate. Any of them meeting pre-canon.
Tavlach - Karlach/Tav
Karlach's romance makes me weep. I love her so much. Please show me your Tav's version of it!
They're both bloodied and bruised from another long day of fights, but that's not gonna stop them from fucking after so long being left unable to touch. A furtive quickie in a corner of Moonrise Towers. Tav getting a painting/statue of Karlach, thinking about her engine giving out and not wanting to forget her face. AU where Karlach was a noble/criminal/fancy for whatever reason Tav's bodyguard instead of Gortash's. Arguing or fighting as foreplay, both of them smiling too wide for anyone to think there's any real malice there.
Hellspawn - Astarion/Karlach
These two romancing each other on origin runs makes me SO crazy. They make me miserable. They make me giddy. They're both stupid hot (in more ways than one, in Karlach's case).
Feeling safe with one another and not being at all used to that. Astarion sticking close to Karlach and her warmth in the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Reincarnation. Time loops. Karlach knowing Astarion's kind of an evil bastard but finding him funny enough that she ignores it.
Shadowyllzelach - Karlach/Lae'zel/Shadowheart/Wyll
I think they should all kiss. Amen.
Shadowheart exasperatedly healing three people who prefer to fight in melee. Royalty AU. Learning about each other's childhoods. Showing each other around Baldur's Gate, but each of them have forgotten more than they remember (except Lae'zel, who of course hasn't seen any of this before). Joyful kisses.
Wyllzel - Lae'zel/Wyll
Larian removing their flirt banter is among their greatest crimes to me. I adore these two, I think they're such a power couple. I adore pretty much any take on them.
Lae'zel thinks Wyll is striking, with or without the horns; Wyll notices her attentions. Hooking up at the tiefling party. Wyll meeting Xan post-canon after Lae'zel leaves for her rebellion and Wyll leaves for Avernus. First kisses. Admitting after months or years of not talking about it that there's something there.
Shadowyll - Shadowheart/Wyll
The mermaid smut banter? Yeah, these two have something going on. I think they can offer each other a gentleness they've both lacked for awhile, and I also think they can fuck nasty. They have the range!
Immediate attraction upon first meeting. Solving a mystery together. Genuinely unrequited feelings. Dark Justiciar Shadowheart leaving a romanced Wyll in the night without a word. A time loop that restarts when either of them die but that both of them remember.
Wyllach - Karlach/Wyll
These two are SO sweet for people who are actively hunting/being hunted by each other at the start of the game. I think these two hold a candle for each other even when they're romanced by someone else, whether or not they'd act on it.
Building a home together in the Gate after Karlach's heart is fixed. Wyll tracking Karlach down and Karlach catching him doing so before the party meets either of them. Mizora kidnaps Wyll and Karlach rescues him. Making love. Long distance relationship via sending stone or letter or whatever else.
Shadowzel - Lae'zel/Shadowheart
Toxic yuri. But also, mutual understanding of what it means to lose the goddess you had pledged your life to. They can do a whoooole lot depending on your choices in the game, and I love to see the potential of that explored. DJ Shadowheart and a Lae'zel who rejects Vlaakith, and the mutual disdain and pity there? Shadowheart rejecting Shar and Selune and Lae'zel unable to reject Vlaakith, dying and being consumed? Both of them building a life after rejecting all duty but each other? Go nuts!
Hurt/comfort. A rebound when one is dumped by someone else in the party. Shadowheart wearing white after rejecting Shar and then getting caught in the rain; Lae'zel is very far from upset by this turn of events, even as she disdains Shadowheart's poor preparations. Fakeout makeout. Shadowheart searching for Lae'zel in the Astral Plane after Shadowheart's parents finally pass.
Karzel - Karlach/Lae'zel
For all that these two are brash, violent warrior women, there's a tenderness and respect to their interactions that has me absolutely crazy over them being gentle with each other. I think Lae'zel is more disgruntled by that aspect of herself than Karlach is.
What should have been a brief, physical thing growing into a relationship neither of them were ready for or anticipated. Teaching each other the techniques they'd learned in Avernus or K'liir. Taking care of each other after a long day. Vampire Lae'zel (whether in an Astzel breakup way or an AU or a curse or something, I don't know, I just think she'd look hot with fangs). Karlach teaching Lae'zel about Fay-run.
Shadowlach - Karlach/Shadowheart
I can't blame Shadowheart; I would also want to be thrown over Karlach's shoulder. Karlach's easy faith in Shadowheart and Shadowheart's protectiveness over Karlach and their playful flirting is so dear to me.
One of them cheating on someone else with the other. AU where they're in the BG1&2 party, not in BG3. Nightmares. Post-canon fluff. Double date with another pairing on this list except they're not dating (even if they'd like to be).
Mizora/Tav
It's a very bad idea. However! Mizora is really hot. I see this more as a physical thing than something with feelings, and definitely something with unhealthy/manipulative/disgusted feelings over sweet ones, but I am willing to be convinced if you feel otherwise!
A Tav so annoyed by and so attracted to Mizora they kiss her to shut her up, which is as bright an idea as it sounds (not at all). Superhero/supervillain AU. Tav curious about Mizora's spellcasting and the lewder ways she might use it. Mizora annoying Tav at camp because she can. Mizora becoming more than a little obsessed with seeing Tav's reaction to different types of pain.
Shadowtav - Shadowheart/Tav
Shadowheart's romance is so sweet. I think a lot of Tavs fit with her because of the widely varying paths she can go down, and I'm curious to see how a different Tav might feel about her romance than the ones I've made for her.
Shadowheart preserving/pressing the night orchid Tav gave her and Tav finding out. Tav injured and not waking up despite all the healing magic Shadowheart pours into them. Setting up camp for the first time in a new place. Cunnilingus. Failing to defeat the Elder Brain.
Galelach - Gale/Karlach
Nerd/jock is a classic for a reason, and I think Gale could be very sweet to her. I've not actually finished an origin run yet, but Gale origin/Karlach romance is first on my list. They're both dying, and neither of them are handling it well, and the avenues out are...less than ideal.
Their first time after Karlach's heart is fixed. Choosing each other over anything and everything else, time and time again. Supernatural AU (I don't know, I just think it'd be fun). Celebrating Midsummer together in Waterdeep. Karlach trying to find a way to bring god Gale back to the man she fell in love with; god Gale trying to convince Karlach to come to Elysium with him.
Alfira/Lakrissa
They're cuties. Lakrissa getting the money for her shop in the epilogue made me WEEP, it's so sweet. I also think Lakrissa should have tried to kill Durge for That scene.
Working together at Alfira's school. Evil Lakrissa/adventurer Alfira AU or roleplay. Lakrissa in the audience when Alfira is performing. Adventuring together. Hidden relationship for ??? whatever reason, it's just a fun trope.
The Dark Urge/Gale
I'm romancing gale on my first Durge run now, and WOW, is that a dynamic. The demigod who never asked for their divine burden and the man who would become a god. The man who knows what it is to be scorned by the divine figure who helped make you and the one who's forgotten that's what they're suffering. Karlach is so supportive in the early game. Finding out about Durge's connection with Gortash has to GUT her even when they're only friends. Romanced? OOF. How does Durge feel about it, too? How does Karlach handle her rage, knowing she's dying and that Durge helped the man who basically killed her? How do they get past it? I'd love to see!
Durge asking Karlach to tie her up every night, and it's not a sex thing but it's not not a sex thing. Durge enjoying making Karlach scream in whatever context your mind jumped to first. Thinking each other are beautiful, scars and engine and all. Orin sending Durge to Avernus instead of the mind flayer colony and Durge meeting Karlach there. Rage, calm, a lack of either.

Getting together post-canon after their romance(s) with someone else didn't work out during the game. DJ Shadowheart and a resist Durge who's no less evil than their Father. Bonding over remembering fuck-all. Scifi AU but still Forgotten Realms (Durge is still Bhaalspawn, Shadowheart is still Sharran, etc). Hurt/comfort.
Solo: Astarion
He's my guy. I'd love a character study set at literally any point in canon, including post. More than okay with ANY worldstate here, especially something niche!
Getting comfortable in his own skin again post-game. Astarion is immortal; his party is not. Him being the annoying, chaotic asshole he is in situations absolutely not good for that. A very, very bad day pre-canon. Actively resisting friendship/closeness of any kind with the party.
Medium Likes
Yes, I do mean any medium. Yes, even that one. Yes, even that one that would require a setting change to work for these canons. I give permission for recursive works or podfics. I opt into a setting change AU so you can write an in-universe Reddit post for a fantasy canon. I have no food allergies for cocktails/mocktails/recipes. I am open to fanvids and poetry and SFW art and NSFW art and crafting things of all kinds.
I am kind of a novice crafter for some of the nominated mediums (y'all would likely shudder to see some of my attempts at crochet), though I do have at least basic understanding of everything nominated. If you want to do something very complex, I'll still enjoy it! It'll be a fun thing to work towards improving my skills, and it's cool to look at instructions for complex crafts regardless!
I adore an epistolary/in-universe mediums of all kinds and funky formatting with them. I really love contrast in visual art pieces. I enjoy pretty much all genres of music (yes, even that one) for fanvids or playlists or fansongs or anything else nominated. I really like experimental formats. I'm fine with any and all levels of nudity and kink in visual art, so show whatever genitals you want. I'm fine with gory or horror art as well. Fanpoetry is very, very cool to read and create and receive.

My fandoms for this exchange are Dimension 20, Dragon Age, and Baldur's Gate. I like canon compliance and canon divergence and AUs that have nothing to do with canon. I like a healthy dynamic where everyone does their best to communicate and meet in the middle and I like a dynamic where everyone involved shouldn't be in the same plane of existence as the other. I like fluff and angst and smut and plot and whatever intersection of those things your heart desires. If you can't tell, I like a lot and am generally easy to please! I adore these three. This can be a happy throuple or mutual infidelity or whatever the hell your heart desires for these three.
Going on a date to the movies, which of course Nara's never done before. Meeting very far post-canon; maybe two of them are married and the third still has feelings? Fluffy vacation fic. Kristen sticking around after the Yulenear for some reason and seeing Tracker and Nara in their element (or very much NOT in their element) at Wolfsong. Getting together and all the mess that implies.
Frostbees - Kristen Applebees/Lucy Frostblade
Lucy my absolute beloved. I think there's so much room to explore here, clerics who died, one cleric who can't help but doubt so much she resurrected a god about it and another whose faith in her god was unwavering, so different but so similar at the same time. Let Lucy be mad, let Kristen wish she could have done more, let them be sweet or let them be disastrously codependent. I'll be happy with anything here.
Lost in the woods Lucy died in, or in the forest of Kristen's afterlife. Idiots to lovers. The rough period of getting to be friends when their friend groups hated and tried to kill each other, and then uh oh feelings get caught. Admitting out loud that they care about each other for the first time. A world where Lucy was resurrected alongside the other Rat Grinders and Kristen makes Lucy so, so angry.

You ever get so invested in the crackiest portion of an OT3 that you end up seeking it out over the other two legs of the triangle? No, just me? Anyway, I think these two are so fun and SO funny. The potential for miscommunication is sky-high and I am opting into that for fluff or angst or humor or anything.

Ayda's dating one of Fig's friends, and that's a problem, because Fig is pretty much in love with her. Fig is cursed and Ayda works on breaking that curse. Modern AU where Fig's a grunge punk whose band isn't taking off and Ayda's studying science so high-level Fig isn't even quite sure what it is. Ayda meets Fig in every lifetime, whether because of reincarnation or because archdevils are immortal and Fig waits for her. Even when it looks like all is lost, Fig believes in Ayda and Ayda believes in Fig.
Dragon Age
My prompts are obviously Bellara-heavy, but don't feel like you have to stick to Veilguard's tone. Most of what I want to see out of Veilguard fanfic/fanart/fanwhatever you enjoy making is if it was handled in ways more similar to the earlier games. So if you don't really care for VG but we got matched on WB: Any, please feel free to dive into something from Origins or 2 or Inquisition or even the novels! I'll love that too.

What was that "sisters" thing about at the end of the game? That simply was not my read of them at all. I'd love to see some exploration of magic here, or even clashing from implicit assumptions from growing up in Tevinter that butts up against Dalish-and-proud Bellara, especially if the elven gods being real and also tyrannical play into it somehow. Also happy with sweet, canon-typical fluff!

I'm really endeared by what could have been here. I also am very open to OC-centric pieces, so if your OC wildly varies from "canon" rook, go nuts! I especially have a huge soft spot for evil/traitor Rooks but that's absolutely not mandatory.
Blighted Bellara is terrifying but Rook can't deny a certain thrill at her, either. Celebrity AU in a modern Thedas. Listening to Dalish music one night at the Veil Jumper camp and unpacking just how much of it has to do with the Creators that they're actively fighting. Nerding out over how the ancient artifacts they find work. Bellara viciously attacking Solas for what he did to Rook.
Bellavrin - Davrin/Bellara Lutare
Actually crazy these two barely talked about their literal gods being their enemies. Was there, like, one banter? What the hell? Let them unpack it, let them deal with what it means to be Dalish in a world where that's true, let them kiss about it, even.
One of them asking the other to hold them; they of course oblige. Davrin fighting blighted Bellara and it makes him sick, knowing there's no real cure. Bellara mourning Davrin after he falls; Davrin (or a spirit who thinks they're Davrin) watches from the Fade, unable to comfort her. The two of them going on a mission without Rook. A "this could be our last kiss" kiss.
Solo: Bellara Lutare
My forever girl. I wish so badly canon had let her have some bite to her, and also that the game she came from had some in general. Let her be angry in her grief more than once. Let her have understandable reservations about Tevinter mages and assassin abominations, let her have doubts her gods are as bad as they seem (or break down a bit when they are), let her threaten to slit throats!
Bellara having to be scolded away from dangerous artifacts before Cyrian; Bellara handling them very differently after. Bellara, alone and wounded on a battlefield, scrounging out the last dregs of her magic to try and heal herself. Omegaverse, but Bellara really doesn't have type for all that relationship drama, she's busy trying to figure out this Nadas Dirthalen. The gods win AU; Bellara lives on and resists in what small ways she can. Watching a sunrise.
Irelin/Bellara Lutare
Exes...yes. The codex letter about their relationship doesn't give us a ton to work with, so go in whatever direction you want with them! Is one of them still harboring feelings? Was the breakup less than amicable? Did one of them think it meant more than the other did, or did one of them THINK the other one thought it meant more than the other--you get it. Down for anything here!
Soulmate AU. Tending to the camp's halla together. Practicing their magic together, maybe sparring. Irelin hears from the Veilguard that Bellara is fallen/lost/hurt/whatever flavor of angst you're feeling. Meeting under awful circumstances.

I have a huge soft spot for these two separately, thought of them together once, and it's been over ever since. I think neither of them quite know what to do with each other at first but could get really close. Both of them know what it is to grieve the loss of family and then learn it's something else, both of them cook so they're not subjected to the rest of the Veilguard's attempts, both of them are fierce fighters who would trust each other with their lives.
Having sex; it's Lucanis' first time (either in awhile or in general) and very much not Bellara's. Lucanis showing Bellara around Treviso. A desperate kiss. Being each other's confidants. Lucanis not liking to be touched after the Ossuary. Meeting in the Ossuary in circumstances other than a breakout.
Neve Gallus & Bellara Lutare
Seconding all the stuff I said for them as a romantic pairing, but platonic! I'll enjoy both.
One supporting the other at their wedding. Communicating via notes left around the Lighthouse. Learning to work together in the early days. Bellara breaking through Neve's walls enough that Neve will easily admit how much she values their friendship. The gods win; Neve & Bellara somehow survive and decide to keep fighting.

Illario kidnapping Bellara as leverage; it's the worst mistake he's ever made. Bellara being kind of charmed by the drama of Crow politics even as she thinks a lot of it's stupid. Fingertips brushing.

I caught kind of a vibe with them in the scene where you first meet him with Bellara, and honestly, I still think it'd be fun. They're both very clever and very driven and coming from very different circumstances that they want to explore with each other. I also think the professor/student angle of it all is hot, especially because he'd be a lot more torn about that than she would.
Healing each other's wounds. A moment of quiet nonsexual intimacy that shifts into them unable to keep their hands off each other. Hurt/comfort. Cyberpunk AU (either the genre or the franchise). Mourn Watcher Bellara AU.

Go nuts. I love this setting. The nicher detail you want to explore, the better. The more passionate you feel about an aspect of the setting not making sense, the more I want to read about you tearing that to shreds and explaining what would work better. I will love it. I am NOT picky with Thedas worldbuilding.
Baldur's Gate
My forever girl. BG3 immediately skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list before I'd even played 3 hours of the game and has not shown any signs of dropping down to a regular interest again. I ship most everyone with most everyone, I like exploring any and all of the endings, and I'm as thrilled with angst as I am with fluff as I am with plotless smut as I am with action/adventure as I am with plotty casefic where they don't have time to kiss because the Horrors are there as I am with a canon retelling. Do whatever you want. Genuinely, truly, whatever you want.
I love reading about original Tavs and Durges, so if you have an OC you want to yell about, go for it!
Raphtav - Raphael/Tav
I didn't think I would like these two as much as I did, and then I played House of Hope, and now this man will NOT leave my or my OC's head. My favorite flavor of Raphael finds a balance between him being suave/in control and pathetic/desperate, but if you feel passionately about either end of that scale, go for it! I also tend to prefer a Tav who's into him (even if they shouldn't be) than one who has to be tempted into it, but again, just a minor preference! That said, I'm looking for canon Raphael in all his atrocities; soft, indulgent Raphael is fine but he should always at least be kind of manipulative about it.
Raphael's obsession with Tav only gets worse over time, whether they sign the contract or not. Established situationship. A dance at a fancy ball/event/gala where Tav can't make a scene by denying a polite request for one, and Raphael knows that. Raphael banishes the rest of the party from House of Hope when he catches them, leaving Tav alone with no way out but him. Dinner together after Tav brings Raphael the Crown, or upon first visit to the House of Hope.
Tavstarion - Astarion/Tav
The guy I got the game for! I love him to death. I strongly prefer spawn Astarion but I'm not anti-ascendant Astarion if that's the vibe you're going for. I really, really love Astarion paired with an evil Tav who gets better along with him or an uncompromisingly good Tav who drags him kicking and screaming into a redemption arc, but if your Tav is different, go nuts!
Modern Toril AU. Time passes; Astarion is immortal, Tav is not. Killing Cazador. A Tav with a strong moral code (a paladin, maybe?) who's very disgruntled by how charmed they are by Astarion's antics. The logistics of managing seven thousand vampire spawn unleashed upon the Underdark together.
Astarion/Karlach/Tav
Fuck what da game said, I think these three should all kiss. The dialogues from them when you're dating them both are SO crunchy to me. This can be a throuple or a messy V or even straight up infidelity, whatever you and your Tav are vibing with!
Karlach disgruntled by both the hot people she's seeing having their noses stuck in a book all the time (Astarion with the Necromancy of Thay, your Tav with whatever book fits them). Exploring Baldur's Gate for the first time in years, or Astarion and Karlach showing a non-Baldurian Tav their haunts. Kisses good night and other sappy things. Modern AU game night, and good gods, Karlach's competitive and Astarion's blatantly cheating and Tav is laughing too hard to mediate. Any of them meeting pre-canon.
Tavlach - Karlach/Tav
Karlach's romance makes me weep. I love her so much. Please show me your Tav's version of it!
They're both bloodied and bruised from another long day of fights, but that's not gonna stop them from fucking after so long being left unable to touch. A furtive quickie in a corner of Moonrise Towers. Tav getting a painting/statue of Karlach, thinking about her engine giving out and not wanting to forget her face. AU where Karlach was a noble/criminal/fancy for whatever reason Tav's bodyguard instead of Gortash's. Arguing or fighting as foreplay, both of them smiling too wide for anyone to think there's any real malice there.
Hellspawn - Astarion/Karlach
These two romancing each other on origin runs makes me SO crazy. They make me miserable. They make me giddy. They're both stupid hot (in more ways than one, in Karlach's case).
Feeling safe with one another and not being at all used to that. Astarion sticking close to Karlach and her warmth in the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Reincarnation. Time loops. Karlach knowing Astarion's kind of an evil bastard but finding him funny enough that she ignores it.
Shadowyllzelach - Karlach/Lae'zel/Shadowheart/Wyll
I think they should all kiss. Amen.
Shadowheart exasperatedly healing three people who prefer to fight in melee. Royalty AU. Learning about each other's childhoods. Showing each other around Baldur's Gate, but each of them have forgotten more than they remember (except Lae'zel, who of course hasn't seen any of this before). Joyful kisses.
Wyllzel - Lae'zel/Wyll
Larian removing their flirt banter is among their greatest crimes to me. I adore these two, I think they're such a power couple. I adore pretty much any take on them.
Lae'zel thinks Wyll is striking, with or without the horns; Wyll notices her attentions. Hooking up at the tiefling party. Wyll meeting Xan post-canon after Lae'zel leaves for her rebellion and Wyll leaves for Avernus. First kisses. Admitting after months or years of not talking about it that there's something there.
Shadowyll - Shadowheart/Wyll
The mermaid smut banter? Yeah, these two have something going on. I think they can offer each other a gentleness they've both lacked for awhile, and I also think they can fuck nasty. They have the range!
Immediate attraction upon first meeting. Solving a mystery together. Genuinely unrequited feelings. Dark Justiciar Shadowheart leaving a romanced Wyll in the night without a word. A time loop that restarts when either of them die but that both of them remember.
Wyllach - Karlach/Wyll
These two are SO sweet for people who are actively hunting/being hunted by each other at the start of the game. I think these two hold a candle for each other even when they're romanced by someone else, whether or not they'd act on it.
Building a home together in the Gate after Karlach's heart is fixed. Wyll tracking Karlach down and Karlach catching him doing so before the party meets either of them. Mizora kidnaps Wyll and Karlach rescues him. Making love. Long distance relationship via sending stone or letter or whatever else.
Shadowzel - Lae'zel/Shadowheart
Toxic yuri. But also, mutual understanding of what it means to lose the goddess you had pledged your life to. They can do a whoooole lot depending on your choices in the game, and I love to see the potential of that explored. DJ Shadowheart and a Lae'zel who rejects Vlaakith, and the mutual disdain and pity there? Shadowheart rejecting Shar and Selune and Lae'zel unable to reject Vlaakith, dying and being consumed? Both of them building a life after rejecting all duty but each other? Go nuts!
Hurt/comfort. A rebound when one is dumped by someone else in the party. Shadowheart wearing white after rejecting Shar and then getting caught in the rain; Lae'zel is very far from upset by this turn of events, even as she disdains Shadowheart's poor preparations. Fakeout makeout. Shadowheart searching for Lae'zel in the Astral Plane after Shadowheart's parents finally pass.
Karzel - Karlach/Lae'zel
For all that these two are brash, violent warrior women, there's a tenderness and respect to their interactions that has me absolutely crazy over them being gentle with each other. I think Lae'zel is more disgruntled by that aspect of herself than Karlach is.
What should have been a brief, physical thing growing into a relationship neither of them were ready for or anticipated. Teaching each other the techniques they'd learned in Avernus or K'liir. Taking care of each other after a long day. Vampire Lae'zel (whether in an Astzel breakup way or an AU or a curse or something, I don't know, I just think she'd look hot with fangs). Karlach teaching Lae'zel about Fay-run.
Shadowlach - Karlach/Shadowheart
I can't blame Shadowheart; I would also want to be thrown over Karlach's shoulder. Karlach's easy faith in Shadowheart and Shadowheart's protectiveness over Karlach and their playful flirting is so dear to me.
One of them cheating on someone else with the other. AU where they're in the BG1&2 party, not in BG3. Nightmares. Post-canon fluff. Double date with another pairing on this list except they're not dating (even if they'd like to be).
Mizora/Tav
It's a very bad idea. However! Mizora is really hot. I see this more as a physical thing than something with feelings, and definitely something with unhealthy/manipulative/disgusted feelings over sweet ones, but I am willing to be convinced if you feel otherwise!
A Tav so annoyed by and so attracted to Mizora they kiss her to shut her up, which is as bright an idea as it sounds (not at all). Superhero/supervillain AU. Tav curious about Mizora's spellcasting and the lewder ways she might use it. Mizora annoying Tav at camp because she can. Mizora becoming more than a little obsessed with seeing Tav's reaction to different types of pain.
Shadowtav - Shadowheart/Tav
Shadowheart's romance is so sweet. I think a lot of Tavs fit with her because of the widely varying paths she can go down, and I'm curious to see how a different Tav might feel about her romance than the ones I've made for her.
Shadowheart preserving/pressing the night orchid Tav gave her and Tav finding out. Tav injured and not waking up despite all the healing magic Shadowheart pours into them. Setting up camp for the first time in a new place. Cunnilingus. Failing to defeat the Elder Brain.
Galelach - Gale/Karlach
Nerd/jock is a classic for a reason, and I think Gale could be very sweet to her. I've not actually finished an origin run yet, but Gale origin/Karlach romance is first on my list. They're both dying, and neither of them are handling it well, and the avenues out are...less than ideal.
Their first time after Karlach's heart is fixed. Choosing each other over anything and everything else, time and time again. Supernatural AU (I don't know, I just think it'd be fun). Celebrating Midsummer together in Waterdeep. Karlach trying to find a way to bring god Gale back to the man she fell in love with; god Gale trying to convince Karlach to come to Elysium with him.
Alfira/Lakrissa
They're cuties. Lakrissa getting the money for her shop in the epilogue made me WEEP, it's so sweet. I also think Lakrissa should have tried to kill Durge for That scene.
Working together at Alfira's school. Evil Lakrissa/adventurer Alfira AU or roleplay. Lakrissa in the audience when Alfira is performing. Adventuring together. Hidden relationship for ??? whatever reason, it's just a fun trope.
The Dark Urge/Gale
I'm romancing gale on my first Durge run now, and WOW, is that a dynamic. The demigod who never asked for their divine burden and the man who would become a god. The man who knows what it is to be scorned by the divine figure who helped make you and the one who's forgotten that's what they're suffering. The temptations of power, the comforts of goodness, the struggle between those two things. VERY fun.
Durge failing to resist their urges as often as they'd like and Gale keeping a close eye. They're only friends until they aren't. Durge admiring the damage Gale's evocation spells can do. The road to Baldur's Gate. Courtship.
The Dark Urge/Karlach
Karlach is so supportive in the early game. Finding out about Durge's connection with Gortash has to GUT her even when they're only friends. Romanced? OOF. How does Durge feel about it, too? How does Karlach handle her rage, knowing she's dying and that Durge helped the man who basically killed her? How do they get past it? I'd love to see!
Durge asking Karlach to tie her up every night, and it's not a sex thing but it's not not a sex thing. Durge enjoying making Karlach scream in whatever context your mind jumped to first. Thinking each other are beautiful, scars and engine and all. Orin sending Durge to Avernus instead of the mind flayer colony and Durge meeting Karlach there. Rage, calm, a lack of either.
The Dark Urge/Shadowheart
"Shadowheart has faith in you" okay so what if I cry forever, huh? What then???
Getting together post-canon after their romance(s) with someone else didn't work out during the game. DJ Shadowheart and a resist Durge who's no less evil than their Father. Bonding over remembering fuck-all. Scifi AU but still Forgotten Realms (Durge is still Bhaalspawn, Shadowheart is still Sharran, etc). Hurt/comfort.
Solo: Astarion
He's my guy. I'd love a character study set at literally any point in canon, including post. More than okay with ANY worldstate here, especially something niche!
Getting comfortable in his own skin again post-game. Astarion is immortal; his party is not. Him being the annoying, chaotic asshole he is in situations absolutely not good for that. A very, very bad day pre-canon. Actively resisting friendship/closeness of any kind with the party.
Medium Likes
Yes, I do mean any medium. Yes, even that one. Yes, even that one that would require a setting change to work for these canons. I give permission for recursive works or podfics. I opt into a setting change AU so you can write an in-universe Reddit post for a fantasy canon. I have no food allergies for cocktails/mocktails/recipes. I am open to fanvids and poetry and SFW art and NSFW art and crafting things of all kinds.
I am kind of a novice crafter for some of the nominated mediums (y'all would likely shudder to see some of my attempts at crochet), though I do have at least basic understanding of everything nominated. If you want to do something very complex, I'll still enjoy it! It'll be a fun thing to work towards improving my skills, and it's cool to look at instructions for complex crafts regardless!
I adore an epistolary/in-universe mediums of all kinds and funky formatting with them. I really love contrast in visual art pieces. I enjoy pretty much all genres of music (yes, even that one) for fanvids or playlists or fansongs or anything else nominated. I really like experimental formats. I'm fine with any and all levels of nudity and kink in visual art, so show whatever genitals you want. I'm fine with gory or horror art as well. Fanpoetry is very, very cool to read and create and receive.
If you can't tell from this, I'm really not picky. If you feel excited about making it, I will feel excited about receiving it! I tend only to nominate pairings and characters I would be excited to receive anything for, and this exchange is no different. If you hit none of my likes, none of my prompts, go in different directions from what I talked about with a pairing - I'll still love it so long as you don't hit my DNWs.
